Role Description

This is a full-time position for an Experienced News Writer. The News Writer will be responsible for creating compelling news articles, and ensuring accuracy and clarity in all written content. Day-to-day tasks include researching and writing news stories, maintaining and updating content on WordPress, and collaborating with the communication team to achieve high-quality journalism standards.


Job Responsibilities

Research, write, and edit compelling news articles on [tech, business, entertainment and trending news].

Publish and format content using WordPress, ensuring SEO optimization and readability.

Meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and journalistic integrity.

Collaborate with editors, fact-checkers, and multimedia teams to enhance stories.

Monitor trending topics and pitch fresh, relevant story ideas.

Adhere to AP (or other) style guidelines and editorial standards.


Requirements


Proven experience as a news writer, reporter, or journalist.

Proficiency in WordPress (publishing, formatting, basic troubleshooting).

Strong research and fact-checking skills.

Ability to write clean, engaging copy under deadline pressure.

Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital media trends.


Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics,).

Social media savvy for content promotion.
