Line of Business: Everyday Banking
Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension)
Location: Downtown Toronto - Hybrid (2 days in the office) - Tuesdays and other day is Flexible
The Product Manager of Savings reports to the Senior Manager of Savings and is part of the Everyday Banking Products team in Canadian Personal Banking. This role is responsible to manage the portfolio of savings products for retail customers.
The Product Manager of Savings develops and implements product strategies to drive customer acquisition & balance growth, optimize profitability and improve the customer experience. This role is responsible to deliver new product initiatives, streamline savings campaigns & customer journeys, and extract actionable insights that will have an impact on portfolio KPIs. This role carries out competitive analysis, analytical reporting and performance tracking, and uncovers opportunities to develop and implement solutions. The Manager has P&L accountability, and manages associated product & operational risks.
The Manager collaborates with members of the Everyday Banking Products team, and with internal partners, such as Customer and Product Analytics, Modelling and Artificial Intelligence, Customer Optimization, Marketing, Digital, Virtual Connect, Technology, Operations and Salesforce Effectiveness.
Must Have Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in retail product management, preferably in the financial service industry.
• Deep proficiency in Excel including advanced functions & macros.
• Strong analytical background with prior experience in PowerBI
• SQL is preferred.
• Strong experience in product design, business casing, pricing, campaign management, technology project delivery, P&L and risk management.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Pricing Optimization and Campaign Management
• Develop, launch and manage campaigns to drive customer acquisition, balance growth and retention.
• Identify enhancement, champion/challenger, and optimization opportunities.
• Measure the impact of campaigns and pricing changes.
• Partner with analytics and modelling teams to implement new customer contact optimization strategies and models.
2. Product Initiatives
• Proactively identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the portfolio of products.
• Lead the implementation of complex projects with large multi-functional teams, through ideation, requirements, implementation, and change management.
• Establish priorities and drive the evolution of capabilities with key partners.
• Proactively solve issues and eliminate obstacles.
3. P&L and Risk Management
• Explain financial results and forecast future performance.
• Drive actions to improve profitability through data-driven decisions.
• Manage risk, and support the evolution of policies, procedures, and controls.

- Ad hoc initiatives; reporting, analytic requests
